Overview

JsonCherry is a free online developer-tools platform. Every tool — the JSON formatter, Base64 encoder, UUID generator, hash generator, regex tester and the rest — runs entirely client-side, in JavaScript, in your own browser. JsonCherry does not accept file uploads, and nothing you type or paste into a tool is sent to our servers. This policy explains exactly what data JsonCherry does collect, and where it's stored.

Cookies and local storage

JsonCherry itself does not set any server-side cookies. The only browser storage JsonCherry writes is your device's localStorage:

  • Your light/dark theme preference.
  • Whether you've accepted or dismissed the cookie/consent banner.

Both values stay on your device and are never transmitted to our servers. See our Cookie Policy for more detail.

Analytics

As of this release, JsonCherry does not run any analytics service (no Google Analytics, no server-side tracking, no third-party analytics scripts of any kind). If analytics are added in a future release, this policy will be updated first to describe exactly what is collected and why.

The contact form

If you submit our Contact form, the name, email address, subject and message you provide are stored in our database. We use this information solely to read, respond to, and keep a record of your message. We don't use it for marketing, and we don't sell or share it with third parties.

IP addresses

To protect the contact form from spam, we run a simple per-IP rate limiter: your IP address is read from the incoming request and held in memory just long enough to count how many messages that address has sent in the past hour. That IP address is never written to our database or logged alongside your message — it exists only transiently, in server memory, for the sole purpose of throttling abusive submissions.

What we don't do

  • We don't require an account, email, or payment details to use any tool.
  • We don't inspect, store, or transmit the text you type or paste into a tool — it never leaves your browser.
  • We don't sell or share your contact-form data with third parties.

Your rights

You can ask us to review, correct, or delete any contact-form message you've sent us by reaching out via our Contact page.

Changes to this policy

If our data practices change — for example, if analytics are introduced — we'll update this page and revise the "last updated" date above before the change takes effect.
